In a flashback, a witch tells a teenage Cersei that someone younger and more beautiful than herself will one day steal her accomplishments. In the present, Tywin is buried and Lancel returns, now a devoutly religious man and a member of the “Sparrows”. In Pentos, a despondent Tyrion agrees to accompany Varys to Meereen to support Daenerys’s claim on the Iron Throne. In Meereen, the insurgent “Sons of the Harpy” murder an Unsullied, forcing Daenerys to launch more restrictive measures without respecting the old traditions.
Missandei gets suspicious when she realizes that the Unsullied visit brothels. Daenerys’s locked-away dragons attack her when she checks on them. In the Vale, Baelish puts Robin in the care of House Royce and leaves with Sansa. At the Wall, Stannis seeks to enlist the Wildlings in his war against Roose. Jon Snow is unable to convince Ryder to accept Stannis’s authority. The latter has Mance burned alive, but Jon Snow mercifully shoots him with an arrow to kill him quickly.

- his is what we expect from Game of Thrones, and by far this will go down as one of the best episodes overall, and deservedly. Every minute of this episode is poised to give you that feel which we thought has been long lost after some of the recent episodes. ‘The Gift’ had definitely showed some great comeback potential but this is was the real Winner. Tyrion is back to what he does best and Jon Snow has become a man of action again, but who has really impressed me in this one is Tormund, this character has definitely improved a lot this season, and reflects true fighting spirit and courage.
- “Hardhome” is probably the best episode of “Game of Thrones” so far with an unforgettable and exciting battle. All the segments are important and interesting but the fight between the Wildlings and the Night’s Watch against the wights and the White Walkers is the best sequence ever. My vote is ten.
- ‘Game of Thrones’ always delivers on the acting. The casting is spot on and the performances are superb across the board, particularly from Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams and Birgitte Hjort Sorensen.
- Came to ‘Game of Thrones’ fairly late in the game and due to being so busy the binge-watching was gradual. Have found myself truly loving the show, very quickly becoming one of my favourites. It totally lives up to the hype and not only does it do the brilliant source material justice (a rarity in television) it is on its own merits one of the finest, most addictive and consistently compelling shows in recent years and quality-wise it puts a lot of films in recent years to shame.
